Film festival, age 30, blazes trails

This year, the Miami International Film Festival celebrates its 30th edition in a city where globalism and ethnic diversity are taken for granted. In 1983, when a handful of film enthusiasts formed the Miami Film Society as a precursor to staging an international film festival, that wasn't necessarily the case.
