Opera sells downtown site to big developer

    The Florida Grand Opera has entered a contract to sell its downtown Miami property once slated to be its headquarters.
   "We had in the past plans to develop it as a headquarters for the opera but we are no longer proceeding with those plans," said William Hill, opera board chairman.
   The property — at 245 NE 14th St., across from the Adrienne Arsht Center — was listed on the market last June, Mr. Hill said.
