Obamacare could cost Jackson half of aid

    Jackson Health System is bracing for the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obama Care, estimating it will lose half or more of $300 million annual federal aid.
   The act is now setting in as a reality for the US and Florida with President Obama's reelection and the US Supreme Court decision in the rearview mirror.
   The impact of the new law is "extremely difficult to estimate," said Brian Dean, vice president of finance for the Miami-Dade County public health system. "There's a lot of uncertainty about how… the market of patients and managed-care providers will react."
