Teams vie for convention center district

City commissioners are expected to select developers next week to start crafting plans for a new Miami Beach Convention Center District.
Five of seven original teams remain in the running after a city evaluation committee re-ranked them. The committee reaffirmed Portman CMC and South Beach ACE as the top contenders, based on their qualifications.
