RUINED

GableStage presents 2009 Pulitzer-Prize winning play "Ruined" written by Lynn Nottage and directed by Joseph Adler. This play is a haunting work about the resilience of the human spirit. This frank and funny drama is a variation of Bertolt Brecht’s 1939 play "Mother Courage and Her Children," translated to a brothel in the Congo, where women are both victims and pillars of strength. 8 p.m. Additional performances through Oct. 7. GableStage, 1200 Anastasia Ave., eastern section of the Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gables. $37.50-$50. Details: (305) 446-1116 or jadler@gablestage.org or www.gablestage.org.
