FASHION’S NIGHT

   "Fashion’s Night Out" at Dadeland Mall hosts several fashion-forward events such as a meet-and-greet session with Fendi artisan Ester de Sarno; complimentary makeovers; fragrance launches; an Alexander McQueen trunk show; and book signing by Michael Connors, author of "The Splendor of Cuba."    The Miami City Ballet’s young professionals group, Upper Room, hosts an opening reception for the McCormick Place. DRIVE FOR A CAUSE

   The University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park and Lincoln Automotive host a special test drive event behind the wheel of a 2013 Lincoln hybrid, while supporting music-based education and outreach programs. For each participant who test drives a car, Lincoln donates $20 to the Overtown Music Project.    The Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida hosts a two-day "Miami Community Leadership Forum," featuring instructors from the education sector, non-profit organizations, and private sector guiding participants on a series of topics that cover community and leadership issues, with a focus on helping residents learn from each other about how to use leadership skills to work on neighborhood issues. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 8. 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 9.
