MUSIC Friday 8/10 REGGAE ROOTSThe Miami Downtown Development Authority presents a free concert featuring "Jahfe´" and "The Wailers." "The Wailers" are a reggae band of all time, having sold in excess of 250 million albums and played for more than 25 million people worldwide. In the 1970s, they were the first reggae band to tour new territories like the Far East and Africa. Local band "Jahfe´" opens the show with their fusion of roots reggae and other genres, including rock, dub, soul and R & B. Thursday 8/16 JAZZ TRIOThe Christian McBride Trio performs as part of the 2012 summer concert series at Coral Gables Congregational Church. Bassist, composer, educator, curator and administrator Christian McBride has been in the jazz world for 20 years. He has won the 2012 Grammy Award for his latest album, "The Good Feeling;" and now performs with his trio, including Christian Sands on piano and Ulysses Owens on drums. 8 p.m. Coral Gables Congregational Church, 3010 De Soto Blvd., Coral Gables. $30-$35.
