NATURAL ART
The Coral Gables Museum opens exhibit "Design for a Living World," from The Nature Conservancy. The exhibit features works from 10 of the world's most renowned designers, including Isaac Mizrahi, Kate Spade, Yves Béhar and Maya Lin. The collection includes clothing, furniture and accessories; along with the photographs of award-winning photojournalist Ami Vitale, who documented the people and places associated with the project. The exhibit suggests that designers and consumers help re-shape the economy and advance a global conservation ethic by consciously choosing sustainable materials. The Nature Conservancy hosts a closing celebration on Oct. 25, featuring a live auction of the one-of-a-kind objects showcased in the exhibit. 7 p.m. opening reception. Exhibit through Oct. 25. Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables. $25 members. $30 others. $40 day of event. Details: (305) 603-8067 or www.coralgablesmuseum.org.
