   GableStage presents "Time Stands Still" by Donald Margulies, directed by Joseph Adler; with Steve Garland, Betsy Graver, Deborah Sherman and Gregg Weiner. Sarah and James, a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent, have been together nine years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. PRINCE OF CUBA
   The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center presents "Hamlet, Prince of Cuba," an adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" directed by Michael Donald Edwards and translated into Spanish by Nilo Cruz. The performance, in English and Spanish, portrays a son's struggle to gain justice for his father and the consequences that threaten his life and that of those he loves. 8 p.m. Performances through May 13. PETER RABBIT
   The Actors' Playhouse Musical Theatre for Young Audiences presents "Peter Rabbit and the Garden of Doom." Peter Rabbit really loves vegetables, but when his sweet-toothed sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail want only cakes and cookies, that's all Mother Rabbit will serve. Luckily, when Mother isn't looking, he trades sweets for produce with his cousin Benjamin Bunny, who won't share his mysterious source of vegetables with Peter. Will Peter brave the dark woods, open fields and tall fences in order to discover the Vegetable Paradise for himself? 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
