The Frost Opera Theater at the University of Miami concludes its 2011-2012 season with Mozart’s "The Marriage of Figaro." This work pits master against servant and wife against husband. The production, with costumes from the Santa Fe Opera, is presented in collaboration with the Frost Symphony Orchestra and performed in Italian with English subtitles. 7:30 p.m. and April 22 at 3 p.m. University of Miami Maurice Gusman Concert Hall, 1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables. "An Evening with Yanni" features Greek self-taught pianist, keyboardist and composer Yanni performing his instrumental hits from the shows that have become famous around the world, including The Acropolis in Greece, The Taj Mahal in India, The Forbidden City in China and The Royal Albert Hall in England. The Deering Estate at Cutler presents the "Living Artist Concert Series," concerts intimately set in the park’s historic stone house ballroom. Acclaimed musicians collaborate with renowned guest composers, artists and talented youth performers. "Sounding Biscayne Bay" features composer and sound artist Judith Shatin, along with works by Louise Farrenc and Felix Mendelssohn and the unveiling of an interactive installation featuring sounds of Biscayne Bay. 6:30 p.m. meet the artist reception. 7:15 p.m. concert. The Frost Salsa Orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary season with a concert showcasing salsa vocalist Ruben Trillo and trumpeter Brian Lynch performing new arrangements by de la Reguera, Murciano, Lynch and others. Vocalist Taylor O’Donnell, student vocalists, trombonist Chad Bernstein and flutist Jose Valentino Ruiz join the performance.
