BRAZZ DANCE
   The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center commissioned Garth Fagan Dance, dance company headed by Tony Award-winning choreographer of The Lion King, Garth Fagan, to set a work on Brazz Dance Theater, a Miami-based dance company that blends Afro-Brazilian and contemporary dance. The company is taught "From Before," one of Fagan's signature dances. DARING DANCE
   "Pilobolus" dance theatre company performs and incorporates dance, gymnastics, performance art and shadow play in its innovative ensembles. The human body becomes sculptural matter, the dancers link and unlink, twist and tumble and create an ever-changing series of forms, many evocative of the natural world. The company has performed live on stage in 63 countries and counting, and has become an American dance institution and dance genre. 8 p.m. Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Ziff Ballet Opera House, Miami. $25-$90. THE IMMORTAL
   The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil present Michael Jackson "The Immortal World Tour" for three performances. This production combines Michael Jackson's music and choreography with Cirque du Soleil. The show is written and directed by Jamie King, a leading concert director in pop music, and features more than 60 international dancers, musicians and acrobats. 8 p.m. Additional performances March 3 and 4. WORLD PREMIERE
   Miami City Ballet presents "Open Barre: Behind the Curtain" dance series showcasing excerpts from its just-debuted world premiere of "Symphonic Dances" by choreographer Alexei Ratmansky. A talk follows with the company's founding artistic director Edward Villella, dancers and the artistic staff. 7 p.m. 2:30 and 7 p.m. March 3. Miami City Ballet Studios, 2200 Liberty Ave., Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Theatre, Miami Beach. $35 inclusive of a complimentary open bar.
