AIR FORCE RESERVE BAND
   The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center and Chamber South present the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve, Concert Band, a free performance. This 43-piece band is the largest and most versatile unit of the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve, with a repertoire that ranges from classical overtures through Sousa marches to Broadway show tunes, popular music, movie themes and patriotic favorites. 8 p.m. South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th St., Cutler Bay. BRONFMAN PLAYS BRAHMS
   The Cleveland Orchestra opens its sixth season with pianist Yefim Bronfman. The program includes Sean Shepherd's "Wanderlust," Dmitri Shostakovich's "Symphony No. 6" and Johannes Brahm's "Piano Concerto No. 2" with Mr. Bronfman as soloist. Prelude concerts featuring members of the orchestra performing chamber music by Shepherd and Brahms follow, along with a commentary from Daniel R. Lewis and Young Composer Fellow Sean Shepherd. 8 p.m. performance. 7 p.m. additional performances and commentary. Additional performance Jan. 28. MASTERFUL PIANIST
   Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet performs with the Tschaikowski St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. The program includes Wagner's "Prelude" and "Liebestod" from Tristan und Isolde;" Liszt's "Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, No. 2" and Rimksy-Korsakov's "Scheherazade." Mr. Thibaudet's playing can be heard on the motion picture soundtracks of "Pride & Prejudice," "Atonement" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." The pianist visits Miami after performing as featured soloist with the New York Philharmonic's PBS-televised New Year's Eve gala and as soloist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Disney Hall. 8 p.m. Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Knight Concert Hall, Miami. $50-$125.
