CUBAN ARTWORKS
   Cernuda Arte exhibits "Important Cuban Artworks, Volume 10," the tenth edition of its annual grand exhibition, showcasing modern and contemporary Cuban art. FACES OF CHINA
   Miami-based professional photographer Tom Salyer showcases an exhibit of his work documenting his annual visits to China in "Faces of China." The exhibit features 32 works depicting his experiences with both ancient and contemporary China during an annual visit to the country between 2004 and October 2011. The work resembles more a casual observation of human nature than as an accentuation of differences between cultures. 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Mon-Fri. Exhibit through Jan. 21. SAINTLY BLESSINGS
   The University of Miami Lowe Art Museum presents "Saintly Blessings: A Gift of Mexican Retablos from Joseph and Janet Shein." Painted devotional images of saints and other holy persons, called retablos, are used primarily by Mexican peoples as objects of veneration and to seek favors. A collection of 28, painted on tin, has been donated to the museum by Philadelphia and Miami art collectors Joseph and Janet Shein. The gift is an important addition to the Lowe's collection of santos. They are on view 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Noon-4 p.m. Sundays. Exhibit through Sept. 23.
