   The Village of Merrick Park kicks off the holiday season with its annual "Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony." For the fourth time, Village of Merrick Park is environmentally friendly by lighting its 50-ft. tree with 55,000 LED light bulbs. Hosted by Belkys Nerey, head news anchor at FOX WSVN Channel 7. The Coral Gables High School Choir performs and throughout the garden live entertainment including stilt walkers and jugglers will take place.    The "Bayside Rocks Music & Arts Festival" features local businesses and organizations in a family-fun day intended to have a positive impact on the community and environment in conjunction with "America Recycle’s Day."    The Institute for Cuban-American Studies and the Cuban Heritage Collection of the University of Miami Libraries host lecture "My Struggle Against Lies About Cuba" by Carlos M.N. Eire.    The Miami Dade College Journalism Speaker Series presents Adam Kuperstein, a sports anchor and reporter for NBC 6. Mr. Kuperstein is co-host of "Sports Final" on Sunday nights with Joe Rose and prior to that worked at WTVJ, where he was the weekend sports anchor at Fox Toledo News.
