NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY
The Actors’ Playhouse presents "Musical Theatre for Young Audiences" opening with "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Alexander knows it is going to be a "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day’ when he wakes up with gum in his hair. Things only get worse as the day goes on: his best friend bails on him, there’s no dessert in his lunch bag, there’s lima beans for dinner and kissing on TV. The only reasonable response turns out to be moving to Australia. 2 p.m. Ends Nov. 19. Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. $19.50. Details: (305) 444-9293 or www.actorsplayhouse.org.

Prizes include gifts and certificates from CocoWalk tenants. 1-6 p.m. CocoWalk Shopping Center, 3015 Grand Ave., Coconut Grove. Details: www.cocowalk.net.
