NEW SONGS, NEW VOICES

   The University of Miami’s Frost School of Music Fall season presents the annual "Songwriters Showcase," featuring songs composed and performed by students in the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music program. Established songwriters and faculty serve as judges and the audience is polled for their favorite selections.    South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center presents "In Your Presence," a live recording gospel performance with Christina Robinson, South Florida Gospel Award Winner.    As part of the University of Miami’s Festival Miami concerts "Divergent Boundaries" is a celebrated composers concert featuring Charles Mason, Lansing McLoskey, Dorothy Hindman, Dennis Kam, Scott Stinson, JB Floyd and Lawrence Moore. 8 p.m. University of Miami, 1252 Memorial Drive, Clarke Recital Hall, Coral Gables. LUCIE ARNAZ

   As part of Festival Miami Lucie Arnaz performs "Latin Roots," a musical tribute to her roots and her father, Desi Arnaz, who introduced La Conga to the US. The concert is a mix in English and Spanish highlighting songs from Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Johnny Mercer alongside Agustín Lara and Margarita Lecuona.
