SPOOKY STORYTELLING
The Roxy Theatre Group's performing arts mission promotes literacy by having its after-school students participate in a "spooky" reading of an eerie-themed one-act play, "An Evening With Edgar Allen Poe," which includes famous works from the poet such as "The Tell Tale Heart," "The Fall of the House of Usher," and "The Purloined Letter." There will be papier maché campfire logs, hearth stones and trees to complete the camping environment, all in the dark aided only by flashlights. 4-6 p.m. Roxy Performing Arts Center, 1645 SW 107th Ave. Free. Details: (305) 226-0030 or www.roxypac.com.

Saturday 10/22
