MAKE A SPLASH

   Amelia Earhart Park offers a variety of outdoor activities. Mountain bike a 5.5-mile trail with challenging slopes and runs or practice a variety of water sports at the 91-acre lake. Learn to wakeboard with experienced coaches from the Miami Wakeboard Cable Complex. 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Amelia Earhart Park, 401 E 65th St., Hialeah. $6 parking fee. Fees vary.    Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden hosts the third annual "Bird Day," featuring day-long activities for families. Birding expert and keynote speaker David Sibley gives the presentation, "Sibley’s Birding Basics." 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables.
