Saturday 10/1

YOUNG AUDIENCES SEASON
Kicking off the Actors' Playhouse 2011-2012 Theatre for Young Audiences Season is "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," Judith Viorst's adaptation of her own children's book into a musical. Alexander knows it's going to be a terrible day when he wakes up with gum in his hair. Things only get worse as the day goes on: his best friend bails on him, there's no dessert in his lunch bag, there's lima beans for dinner and kissing on TV. The only reasonable response is to move to Australia. 2 p.m. Saturdays. Select weekdays performances at 10 a.m. Additional performances through Nov. 19. Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Mile Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. $15. Details (305) 444-9293 or www.actorsplayhouse.org.
