PETER RABBIT

   In honor of author Beatrix Potter’s birthday, the Miami Children’s Museum presents readings from her children’s book "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and an opportunity for guests to create their own watercolor illustrations. BOB THE BUILDER

   The traveling "Bob the Builder — Project: Build It" exhibit comes to Miami Children’s Museum. Join interactive building workshops and learn environmentally friendly building themes from Bob the Builder himself. Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Ends Sept. 11. COOKING CAMP

MADELINE’S ADVENTURES

    Based on the classic children’s books by Ludwig Bemelmans, the musical "Madeline and the Gypsies" opens at the Actors’ Playhouse. Madeline’s adventures with her friend Pepito at a carnival lead them into some trouble with gypsies; will Miss Clavel be able to bring them back home safe? 2 p.m. Every Saturday through Aug. 6.
