FROG AND TOAD
   The musical "A Year with Frog and Toad" is based on the 1970s award-winning children's books by Arnold Lobel. Frog is cheerful and popular and Toad is grumpy, but despite their differences they are great friends. This jazzy and upbeat performance is set during the four seasons and highlights the lessons they learn, especially about friendship and rejoicing in the attributes that make everyone different and special. 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Area Stage Company, 1560 S Dixie Highway, Coral Gables. $10 students. $15 others. RAW, COOKED AND ROTTEN
   Chilean playwright Marco Antonio de la Parra's 1978 work "Lo Crudo, Lo Cocido, Lo Podrido" debuts as part of the XXVI International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami. The play follows a trio of waiters trapped in a restaurant as they follow the rules of a long-gone world hoping to return to the glory of their times.
