"YO, TAMBIEN!"
Lola Dueñas and Pablo Pineda star in 2009 Spanish film "Yo, Tambien!" ("Me Too!"). Part offbeat comedy and part drama, the quirky love story follows the relationship between Daniel and Nuria. Daniel's in love with Nuria, but she's reluctant to take their relationship to the next level. In the process, the film addresses societal prejudice, taking an open, unprecedented look at the desires of those with disabilities. 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Miami Dade College Tower Theater, 1508 SW Eighth St., Miami. $6. Details: (305) 643-8706 or www.mdc.edu/culture/tower.htm.
PASTRY PROS
D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus' documentary "Kings of Pastry" follows a group of sixteen French pastry chefs in the competition of a lifetime: the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. Its three intense days of mixing, piping and crafting everything from delicate sweets to 6-foot sugar sculptures culminates with President Nicolas Sarkozy declaring the winner. The Village Voice says the film "makes the Food Network look like reheated leftovers." 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Coral Gables Art Cinema, 260 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables. $5-$9.
