CHILDREN Thursday 7/29 MODERN-DAY FAIRYTALEThe Roxy Theatre Group, a nonprofit arts organization for children, presents "Once Upon a Mattress," a musical comedy based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairytale "The Princess and the Pea." 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturday. 3 p.m. Sundays. "DINO ISLAND" Roam among Jurassic reptiles at the Miami Children's Museum's "Dino Island" exhibit. The 2,500-square-foot, custom-built set is home to nine lifelike dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Triceratops mother and baby, that walk, feed and roar. Other features include a periodically erupting volcano and a fossil-dig station. Ends Jan. 2. Miami Children's Museum, 980 MacArthur Causeway, Watson Island. Sunday 8/1 BRITTO'S ABCSPop artist Romero Britto is to show off his children's book, "My Alphabet Playbook." Monday 8/2 FAIRCHILD FARMChildren 6 to 10 can learn about nature through art and science activities at the Fairchild Farm Summer Camp, an arm of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
