The Roxy Theatre Group, a nonprofit arts organization for children, presents "Once Upon a Mattress," a musical comedy based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale "The Princess and the Pea." 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturday. 3 p.m. Sundays. Roam among Jurassic reptiles at the Miami Children’s Museum’s "Dino Island" exhibit. The 2,500-square-foot, custom-built set is home to nine lifelike dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Triceratops mother and baby, that walk, feed and roar. Pop artist Romero Britto is to show off his children’s book, "My Alphabet Playbook." Children 6 to 10 can learn about nature through art and science activities at the Fairchild Farm Summer Camp, an arm of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. City of Miami Parks is offering summer camps at 27 parks. Activities include swimming lessons, field trips, sports, a talent show and an end-of-summer picnic.
