University of Miami theater students perform "Rent," one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history. Winner of four Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for drama, Jonathan Larson’s musical tells of a group of bohemians struggling to live and make their rent payments in New York’s East Village. Nicky Silver’s dark comedy "Raised in Captivity" opens with estranged twins attending their mother’s funeral after she was killed by a broken flying shower head. Things only get weirder from there with a ghost, a convicted murderer, a male escort and a therapist, resulting in a wacky, absurd comedy about family values, relationships and self discovery. Two Holocaust survivors and former friends-turned-enemies meet by chance years down the road.
