"Equus," by Tony Award-winning playwright Peter Shaffer, comes to Coral Gables. The play, which graced Broadway’s stages in 2008, is the strange tale of a 17-year-old stable boy and a psychiatrist who attempts to dissect the sexual and religious mystery that led the boy to commit a shocking act. Mr. Shaffer was inspired to write the tale after hearing about a crime involving a 17 year old and sought to create a fictional account of what might have prompted the incident. Contains cigarette smoking, nudity and other adult content. 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. 1 p.m. Sunday. Additional performances at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 21 and 28. Ends April 4.
