MAGIC BEANS
A quirky take on the classic story "Jack and the Beanstalk" follows Jack as he climbs his magical beanstalk only to encounter a giant inventor, a tap-dancing gray goose and a golden harp that knows how to boogey. 2:30 p.m. Ends March 27. CREEPY CRAWLIES
Curious little ones will have lots to explore at Bug Fest, a two-day festival at Miami Metrozoo held in conjunction with its World of Giant Insects Exhibit. The festival's unique offerings include insect tastings, insect cooking demonstrations, creepy crawly face painting, a flea circus, live insect displays and presentations by Wacky Wild Science Adventures. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Miami Metrozoo, 12400 SW 152nd St., Perrine. $11.95 children and $15.95 adults plus tax.
