CREATURE OF PEACE
   The Playground Theatre presents Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz's adaptation of Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel García Márquez's "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings." Directed with children in mind, the play follows two children who discover a mysterious creature resembling an old man with gigantic wings that falls from the sky one evening in a remote Caribbean town. The villagers' initial reaction of fear turns to understanding as they realize that this "angel" means no harm and is rather a symbol of healing and love. 10 a.m. Additional performances at various times through March 14. OFF TO OZ
   The first officially sanctioned traveling educational exhibit based on "The Wizard of Oz" debuts at the Miami Children's Museum, taking guests on a journey from the sepia-toned Gale Farm across the colorful Land of Oz.    A quirky take on the classic story "Jack and the Beanstalk" follows Jack as he climbs his magical beanstalk only to encounter a giant inventor, a tap-dancing gray goose and a golden harp that knows how to boogey. 2 p.m. Saturdays through Feb. 27 and 2:30 p.m. Saturdays March 6-27.
