BALLET MEETS BROADWAY
Miami City Ballet performs "The Neighborhood Ballroom," choreographed by founding artistic director Edward Villella. Paying homage to American popular music and social dances, the performance features a vixen flapper, a Hollywood starlet and a Latin nightclub dancer competing for the attention of a poet in a neighborhood ballroom. In addition, a pre-performance talk will be given by Mr. Villella or a member of the ballet's artistic staff 55 minutes before each performance. 8 p.m. Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. $19-$169.
