LOVERS TIES
   Director Pedro Almodovar's critically acclaimed "Broken Embraces," which stirred the rumor mill after being passed over as a contender for a "Best Foreign Language Film" Academy Award in 2009, follows in past tense the torrid affair of aspiring actress Lena (played by Oscar-winner Penelope Cruz) and filmmaker Mateo Blanco. Mr. Blanco recounts life to his assistant before the accident that left him blind. ENEMY ASSASSINS
   Documentary "Killing Kasztner" follows the 1950s trial and assassination of Rezno Kasztner, whose face-to-face negotiations with Nazi leader Adolf Eichmann and rescuing of almost 1,700 Jews to safety in Switzerland aboard what is now known as "Kasztner's Train" shook the Israeli political world.
