   A pair of expert flats fishermen lead a guided fishing excursion along the Biscayne Bay shoreline. Seek out barracuda, snook, sea trout and other shallow-water fish via kayak. TEKESTA TRAIL

   Discover the history behind the Tekesta, a Native American tribe who canoed the waters of Biscayne Bay and hunted on the high grounds of the Miami Rock Ridge, now Deering Estate at Cutler. Naturalists will guide participants through protected natural areas to visit a Tekesta site and burial mound, walk an ancient trail and view Native American artifacts. 2-3:30 p.m. Deering Estate at Cutler, 16701 SW 72nd Ave., Palmetto Bay.    Happen upon tropical fish, sea stars and spotted eagle rays by kayak on a guided tour of the shallow waters of Bear Cut Preserve.
