   The American Diabetes Association hosts its "Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes." The event is expected to attract between 2,000 and 3,000 participants for a three-mile fundraising walk around downtown Miami. 8 a.m. Begins at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Details: (305) 477-8999 or


   Kayak and snorkel the shallow waters of Key Biscayne and explore the protected areas of Bear Cut Preserve where land meets the sea.
