The Miami Children’s Museum is hosting "Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog." The 2,500-square-foot bilingual exhibit transports visitors to the homes of Clifford, Emily Elizabeth and all of the residents of Birdwell Island, where they engage in activities that foster social and emotional development. The Miami Children’s Museum shows original paintings and sculptures by Alex Yanes. "Majestic Beauties" features bold, vivid images of Florida animals that are either on the endangered- or threatened-species lists. Ends Aug. 30. Florida International University’s Frost Art Museum hosts a free family day featuring mask-making, portraiture, face painting, games, music and snacks. The Roxy Theatre Group’s "Kidz on Stage" after-school program begins includes homework assistance, educational activities in reading and writing, math and science, arts and crafts, and weekly classes in drama, voice and dance.
