Darkly comic and heartbreakingly beautiful, the award-winning musical adaptation of Elmer Rice’s 1923-play "Adding Machine" tells the story of Mr. Zero who, after 25 years of service to his company, is replaced by a mechanical adding machine. The play is a satiric view of capitalism that bears comparison with today’s unsettled economy. Ends Feb 1. GableStage at the Biltmore, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables. Details: (305) 446-1116 or www.gablestage.org.
The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts hosts a production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s "Cats."
