Seventy years after Orson Welles’ "War of Worlds" radio program announced the arrival of aliens at a farm in New Jersey, the Miami Design Preservation League revives the fictitious invasion. The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer hosts its biannual "In The Garden Gala" to raise money for cancer research. During the garden-themed gala, the Caroline W. Halpern Award will be presented to Joan and David J. Educate Tomorrow hosts its fourth annual "Anything Goes Gala," benefiting youth who are aging out of the foster-system. Guests are encouraged to mix any off-beat orange accessory with their formalwear.
