The Lowe Art Museum hosts speaker Sue D’Auria for a presentation examining ancient Egyptian’s unique burial traditions. Her lecture will cover all aspects of preparation for the voyage to the afterlife including treatment of the body, religious and magical artifacts to accompany the deceased, and the tomb that housed it all. 7 p.m. The Lowe Art Museum, 1301 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables. WINE TASTING AT DEERING
The Deering Estate is hosting the Seventh Annual fall wine tasting "Wine on Harvest Moon." The Kristi House and Royal Caribbean host "A Taste of Freedom," an afternoon of food and entertainment benefiting child sexual-abuse victims.
