Sunday 8/31

   Miami-Dade Parks Department hosts Boating Safety Awareness Day in remembrance of their own Osmany "Ozzie" Castellanos, a former Miami-Dade Parks lifeguard, who died last year during a boating accident. Park staff will be on hand to discuss the importance of boating safety as well as review maritime rules and regulations. 6 a.m.-Noon. Black Point Marina, 24775 SW 87th Ave., Cutler Bay.
