NATURAL INSPIRATION
   The Bank of America Tower will be the site for a permanent exhibit of the work of Alan S. Maltz, named Official Fine-Art Photographer for the State of Florida by "Visit Florida" in 2005. The exhibit, composed of 120 pieces from Mr. Maltz's portfolio, was created to show the natural beauty and diversity of the state. "BARK ART"
   Miami Veterinary Specialists hosts auction to provide veterinary care for homeless pets. Ten dog paintings by Darek Pala available for bidding until Aug. 15. HORSING AROUND
   Miami International University of Art & Design presents the exhibition "Horseplay," 2-D and 3-D works inspired by the horse sculptures of China's Tang Dynasty. Exhibit ends Aug. 15. DRESSING CALDERÓN
   The exhibition "A Hundred Years Dressing Calderón" displays costumes used in plays written by Spanish Baroque playwright Calderón de la Barca. It includes 40 costumes and 10 plotted costume designs. This collection depicts the different ways Calderón's plays have been interpreted over the last century, from the first avant-garde movements brought from Central Europe, courtesy of Burman, Cortezo, and Emilio Burgos, to the baroque expressions of Nieva and Puigserver, or the most recent proposals by Miguel Narros and Andrea D'Odorico. LIBRARY EXHIBITIONS
   Miami-Dade Public Library System presents a series of exhibitions by two Miami artists. One is Conni Gordon and the other is the late Albert Robinson (1915-1996). "Highly Variable-See Movie: Albert Robinson" will be on display at the Main Library Auditorium, 101 W Flagler St., Miami, and "Think-it, Ink-it, Link-it, Sync-it: The Conni Gordon School" will be shown at the Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22nd St., Miami Beach. ROCK N' ROLL
   Museum of Contemporary Art's current exhibition "Sympathy for the Devil: Art and Rock and Roll Since 1967" features 40 years of artworks by 56 artists from around the world. Ends Sept. 7.    The Wolfsonian-Florida International University presents the exhibit "A Bittersweet Decade: The New Deal in America, 1933-43." The exhibit considers the impact of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs on American culture. It explores how the government's patronage of art, design, and architecture were integral parts of the larger project of the New Deal, which aimed to spur recovery from the Great Depression and change American society.
