ART Thursday 7/17 HORSING AROUNDMiami International University of Art & Design presents the exhibition "Horseplay," 2-D and 3-D works inspired by the horse sculptures of China's Tang Dynasty. VIENNA HISTORY The Wolfsonian-Florida International University exhibits "Spanning the Divide of Centuries: Vienna from the Last Habsburgs to the Austrian Republic" of rare books and special collections. Organized this year by rare book cataloguer Nicolae Harsanyi, the exhibition features work by artists such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele and how their art reflects the changes in Viennese society during the modern movement in 19th and 20th century Vienna. Mr. Wilson worked with VOOM HD Networks as an artist-in-residence to create VOOM PORTRAITS. Subjects were filmed on high-definition video portraits and range from celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., Princess Caroline of Monaco, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Isabella Rossellini, to striking poses of animals. ROCK N' ROLL Museum of Contemporary Art's current exhibition "Sympathy for the Devil: Art and Rock and Roll Since 1967" features 40 years of artworks by 56 artists from around the world. BITTERSWEET TIMES The Wolfsonian-Florida International University presents the exhibit "A Bittersweet Decade: The New Deal in America, 1933-43." The exhibit considers the impact of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs on American culture. It explores how the government's patronage of art, design, and architecture were integral parts of the larger project of the New Deal, which aimed to spur recovery from the Great Depression and change American society.
