HURRICANE AWARENESS FESTIVAL
   The Team Metro Tamiami Office and the Miami-Dade Kendall Police Station host "Breeze Thru Hurricane Season" Awareness Festival. First in a series of hurricane awareness events designed to inform and assist residents with hurricane preparedness. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Miami-Dade Kendall Police Station, 7707 SW 117 Ave.
GREEN GALA
   The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce presents its seventh annual Gala Awards dinner, "The Green Gala." This year's award nominees include Williamson Cadillac, Yesi Leon and Alison Burgos, and SAVE Dade. 6:30 p.m. Hilton Downtown Miami Hotel, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. $140-$1,250. CLOTHESLINE PROJECT
   Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle hosts the Verizon Wireless Florida Clothesline Project. T-shirts on a makeshift clothesline tell stories of abuse and healing by women, children and men who have been affected by domestic violence. The state attorney's office will also be collecting used and broken cell phones to be refurbished and distributed to victims of domestic abuse. Ends July 11. E.R.
