Urban Miami

   An opening reception will be held for Urban Manifesto, an exhibition that features art on urban life in Miami by local artists. Saturday. 7 p.m. at Buena Vista Building, Suite 102, 180 NE 39th St., Miami. The exhibition continues through Sept. 14. Free.

Art benefit

   Opera Gallery hosts an opening reception for Made in Latin America, an exhibition of paintings and sculptors. Some of the proceeds benefit International Kids Fund. Wednesday. 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Opera Gallery, Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour. RSVP required. Free.

Apparel trade show

   Trafik is an apparel tradeshow that will feature more than 300 clothing brands from around the world. The trade show, meant for retailers, will be open to the general public Aug. 16. 3 p.m. at Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach. Visitors will get to see the latest seasonal designs before they hit department stores in South Florida. Free.

Astaire-Rogers film

   The Miami Design Preservation League features "Shall We Dance," a 1937 film starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers with music by George Gershwin. Saturday. 11 a.m. at Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22nd St., Miami Beach. Free.

Gablestage premiere

   Gablestage at the Biltmore Hotel presents "The Lieutenant of Inishmore," a black comedy directed by Joseph Adler and written by Martin McDonagh about violence in society. The play premieres Saturday. 8 p.m. at 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables. The play runs through Sept. 9. $40.
