City of Miami CFO Larry Spring says he knew early that accounting could be a path of success for him

When Linda Haskins gave up her job as the City of Miami's chief financial officer to take a seat on the City Commission last year, Miami native Larry Spring was named to fill that key administration role in an acting capacity. Ms. Haskins failed in her bid in November to retain her commission seat, but when it became evident she would not return to her CFO post, City Manager Pete Hernandez appointed Mr. Spring to the job on a permanent basis.
