Josie Legido-Correa's lifelong love of downtown led her to directorship of Miami business group

   As downtown Miami undergoes dramatic renovation and redevelopment, a community-based nonprofit organization is key in the metamorphosis, creating and implementing a range of economic-development projects whose objectives are to create new jobs, retain existing ones and improve the levels of service and quality of life of current and future residents of the area.
   Spearheading the Downtown Miami Partnership as its executive director since 1994 is Josie Legido Correa, who has developed a passion for helping the downtown area reach what she sees as its destiny.
   Ms. Correa was interviewed by Miami Today international editor Michael Hayes.
