Dance exhibition

   The Museum of Contemporary Art hosts an opening reception for the exhibition Merce Cunningham: Dancing on the Cutting Edge Part 1, which will feature art, costume and set designs from the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. 7-9 p.m. today (1/25). Free for members; $10 others. The exhibition runs through April 29. MOCA will host a breakfast, lecture and tour of the new exhibition. 10 a.m. Saturday. 770 NE 125th St., North Miami. Scholastic art exhibition

   Miami Art Museum and Miami-Dade County Public Schools host an opening reception and awards ceremony for the annual Scholastic Art Awards exhibition. The exhibition will feature award-winning artworks by local students. 1-4 p.m. at 101 W. Flagler St., Miami.

"Charlotte’s Web’

   Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre presents E.B. White’s "Charlotte’s Web." The musical play for children opens Wednesday (1/31) and runs through March 31. 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. $12-$15.

Silent-film performance

Puccini’s opera

Women in photos
