The Wolfsonian-FIU's Censored Cinema film series features the 1993 film "Lan Feng Zheng (The Blue Kite)." The movie follows the story of a family who lives through social, cultural and political changes in China during the rule of Mao Tse-Tung. The movie never has been shown in China, and director Zhuangzhuang Tian was banned from making films for 10 years. In Mandarin with English subtitles.
