CUBAN HERITAGE EXHIBIT
The University of Miami exhibit The Cultural Legacy of Mariel includes diverse documents, magazines, posters, letters and photos from the massive exodus in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Mariel boatlift and is displayed as part of the Cuban Heritage Collection. MOSAIC EXHIBITION
The second annual juried Mosaic Exhibition is comprised of works of artists from around the US and Europe. EARTH BODY
The exhibit Earth Body Sculpture and Performance displays the career of Ana Mendieta and her work influenced by Caribbean and North American cultures. VISUAL MEMOIR
Deering Estate hosts a photography exhibition by Miami photographer Barbara Robbins. CLOUD CITY
The Museum of Contemporary Art presents its new exhibition space, MOCA at Goldman Warehouse, with the interactive exhibition Cloud City by Miami artist collaborative Friends With You. HISTORIC HOTELS
The Wolfsonian-Florida International University celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exhibition offering an exploration of American hotels in the early 20th century. The exhibit focuses on Schultze & Weaver hotels, including the Biltmore in Coral Gables, and explores the changing patterns of design and use of urban hotels' guestrooms. Presentation drawings and architectural plans make up the core show, followed by furniture, tableware, photographs and printed ephemera displays. Noon-6 p.m. through May 18.
