ORCHESTRA GALA
   The Miami Symphony Orchestra presents a gala concert featuring Spanish violinist Carla Marrero as well as selections by Beethoven, Sarasate, Massenet, Maxwell Davies and others. SaludArte, a non-profit organization that provides medical treatment to underprivileged children arriving from Latin America and the Carribean who suffer from serious illnesses, sponsors the performance. 8 p.m. at the Lincoln Theatre, 541 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. $50-$100. HOLIDAY CONCERT
   Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden presents an evening of classical holiday music with Nestor Torres, master flutist and composer. The concert features the Orchestra Miami Chamber soloist and the New World Singers performing works of Bach, Mendelssohn, Mozart and Gluck. Proceeds benefit Fairchild's programs in education, horticulture, research and conservation. 6 p.m. at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables. $250. GOLF TOURNAMENT
   The Salvadoran American Humanitarian Foundation hosts its 10th annual golf classic and second annual tennis tournament. This event will benefit the foundation's mission to enhance the well-being of the people of El Salvador through human-development programs. 'CARS & FISH'
   The Miami Performing Arts Center presents multimedia installation "Cars & Fish."
