New Citibank president for Florida Carlos Davila plans to stress relationship banking

   When New York-based Citibank promoted the president of its Florida division, Calixto García-Vélez, to run its larger California/Nevada division in September, it decided to appoint as his successor here the man running the Puerto Rico operation, Carlos Davila.
   Mr. Davila, 42, while moving to Miami and heading the Florida business effective Sept. 1 out of headquarters in Doral, is also keeping the role as Citibank's regional manager for Puerto Rico that he has had held since 2002.
   In Florida, he intends to stress relationship banking for the Citigroup subsidiary, he explained in an interview with Miami Today international editor Michael Hayes.
