SPANISH COLONIZATION
   In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Historical Museum of Southern Florida presents "The Spanish Colonization of Florida" exhibit focused on Florida's transformation through the eyes of Spanish explorers. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon-Sat and Sun noon-5 p.m. through Jan. 15 at the museum, 101 W Flagler St., Miami. $5. LASER LIGHT SHOW
   The Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium hosts First Fridays, a night to lean back and look up as the planetarium walls glow with brilliant colors and lasers set to music from some of the greatest rock bands. All shows feature four-story media imagery, video projection and surround sound. 9 p.m. is Laser Halloween, 10 p.m. is A Perfect Circle at the Planetarium, 3280 S Miami Ave., Miami. $6-$10.
