ARCHAEOLOGY AT THE DAWN OF HISTORY
   An exhibition of archaeological finds takes up temporary residence at the Lowe Art Museum. The Khirbet Iskander Collection is a unique gathering of cultural remains from the only known city in Canaan during the Early Bronze IV period, approximately 4,000 years ago. The collection includes ceramic pottery, tools and religious objects gathered from excavations since 1981.Through June 5 at the Lowe Art Museum, 1301 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables. CALYPSO MUSIC
   The Historical Museum of Southern Florida presents Calypso Music in Postwar America: Photographs and Illustrations, a conference that explores the relationship between Caribbean music and literature. Event includes photographs, sheet music, songbooks, record album covers and movie posters. HUBBLE TELESCOPE IMAGES
   In celebration of the Hubble Telescope's 15th anniversary, the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium unveiled two 6-foot murals featuring images of the Whirlpool Galaxy and the Eagle Nebula captured in January.
