ART Thursday 3/31 ART MUSEUMS CLASSIC POSTERSThe Lowe Art Museum hosts the first public showing of the Wine Spectator Collection of vintage posters created during France's Belle Epoque in the 1890s. Featuring artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Villon, Bonnard, Steinlen, Mucha and Cheret. BEYOND GEOMETRY The Miami Art Museum hosts Beyond Geometry: Experiments in Form, 1940s-'70s. The exhibition examines artists after World War II in Europe, South America and North America turned to geometric abstraction as a springboard for experimentation, featuring over 120 works by 85 artists from 20 countries. GERMAN ART The Bass Museum of Art features finished public art projects by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Exhibition features sketches, collages, maps, topography, and fabric used in installations, and will be complemented by the screening of five films about the artists.
